A project I made with Karen for GoCodeColorado, a failed experiment in government run hackathons.

Essentially, it's an educational app that (currently only in Colorado), examines hiking trails, and offers them to you, based on special needs (dogs, atv, biking, etc...), and various flora and fauna you might be searching for.

Along the trail, you can look at USGS geological observations nearby, and iNaturalist observations that've been taken along the way.

With reasonably liberal cacheing, you can take a trail map with you, even without cell service, and use it to identify the plants and animals all day long.
